Community Yard Sale Reminder
The Community Yard Sale will be Saturday, September 17, 2022. Take advantage of this opportunity to declutter or find a deal on that item you’ve been looking for.
Per the neighborhood covenants, trash cans cannot be stored in a location that is visible from the road or neighboring lots. This means you cannot store trash cans in front of your garage. Additionally, trash cans can only remain at the curb for a reasonable amount of time (24 hours). Due to the recent unreliability of American Trash service, enforcement of this part of the covenant has been lenient. However, American has resolved their staffing issues and is now consistently picking up trash as scheduled. Therefore, beginning immediately the covenant will be enforced as it is written. The fine for leaving trash cans at the curb for more than 24hrs is $25/day.
GENERAL COVENANTS, USE RESTRICTIONS AND RULES
6.23 Clotheslines, Garbage Cans, Woodpiles, Etc. All clotheslines, garbage cans, woodpiles, and other similar items shall be located or screened so as to be concealed from view of neighboring Lots, streets, and property located adjacent to the Lot. All rubbish, trash, and garbage shall be regularly removed from the Lot and shall not be allowed to accumulate thereon; however, rubbish cans and garbage cans may be placed at the edge of a street or road for reasonable periods if required for collection and disposal of rubbish or garbage. Declarant, however, hereby expressly reserves the right to dispose of trash and rubbish as it ordinarily does in the ordinary course of its business.
Please be considerate of other drivers when parking your vehicles on the street. Over the weekend one of our residents blocked Plum Creek Trail with cars and a boat. Other residents complained about the blockage. Remember it is illegal to block access on a public roadway – emergency vehicles must be able to get through. Additionally, it is illegal to park on unimproved surfaces, such as the grass, and on the sidewalk. Contact Cobb County Police for immediate assistance with parking disputes. For general parking issues, call the non-emergency number. Remember Cobb County Code Enforcement writes citations for illegal parking (e.g., in your front yard, restricted vehicles, etc.)
